**This position is located in Tulsa, OK at ASTRA Manufacturing, A Galaxy Group Company** 

Essential Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.                           

1. Performs inspections on tooling products, production parts, and machines using CMM machines, Portable Coordinate Measurement Systems (PCMS) such as laser trackers, Faro arms, and/or other precision measuring equipment. Performs spot checks, in-process inspections, first part buy-offs, First Article inspections, and final inspections.
2. Generates inspection reports from inspection software, and other documentation such as C of C’s, AS9102 First Article reports, 1162 forms, etc.
3. Organizing, filing, and maintaining inspection documents and data.
4. Identifies and requests purchase of new inspection tools needed for jobs.
5. Ensures accurate calibration/verification of company and employee tools by calibrating/verifying tools, sending tools for outside calibration/verification, and reporting non-conforming tooling to management.
6. Assists with training and development of new inspectors.
7. Provides assistance to shop personnel for blueprint questions, rework requirements, etc.
8. Performs CMM and PCMS equipment cleaning and maintenance. 
9. Learns and adheres to Galaxy Quality System (GQS) requirements, assists in enforcing GQS, customer, and government requirements.
10. Maintains safe and clean working environment.
11. Contributes to team effort by actively participating in team meetings.

 Qualifications and Requirements: 

• CMM/Laser Tracker experience preferred

• 2+ years experience using PC/DMIS or Verisurf software preferred

• Ability to use conventional measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, height gauges) a must

• Ability to interpret aerospace blueprints a must

• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, typing) preferred

• Machine experience preferred

• Self-motivated a must
