Job Description

Job Purpose:  The Staff Accountant supports multiple locations in the daily accounting duties.  The successful candidate will ensure transactional activity is accurate and timely in order to meet the deadline and scheduling requirements of any given task.  They will identify and provide guidance for process and efficiency improvements as well as maintain and develop various reports as required, to assist in communicating results to others and finally assist with the monthly closing of financial records to Division and Corporate.


Essential Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  1. Prepares journal entries
  2. Performs monthly account reconciliations
  3. Assist with AR and AP activities, as needed
  4. Maintains the fixed asset listing
  5. Prepares key metrics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  6. Preform manufacturing variance analysis
  7. Execute month-end and year-end accounting processes
  8. Assists in the preparation and publish timely monthly financial statements
  9. Review job costs and PPV and recommend standard adjustments
  10. Interacts with other departments, management, and related companies on a regular basis
  11. Assists in providing internal and external audit support
  12. Assist in the completion of the annual budgets and forecasts including income statement, balance sheet and cash flow
  13. Able to accomplish tasks within deadlines and outside normal office hours, as business requires
  14. Perform additional support as assigned to help the team meet overall goals and requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting with a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
  2. Proficiency with ERP software is recommended, along with high a level experience in using Microsoft Office products to manage and interpret large amounts of data.
  3. Strong Analytical skills.
  4. Superior communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, non-verbal, written).
  5. Possess a high level of critical thinking.
  6. Ability to work with minimal supervision and the ability to complete tasks with limited support staff.
  7. Willingness to work additional hours if critical deadlines require it.
  8. Operates with a high level of professionalism and integrity.
  9. Ability to maintain confidentiality of accounting and personnel records.
